Slim metal wallets
Two metal plates, an elastic frame and a strap for cash. It holds up to twelve cards and disappears in a front pocket.

The wallets
Seven wallets in three materials. Same idea in each: two plates, an elastic frame, a strap for cash. The metal changes the weight, the feel and the price.
Materials
All three are hard enough for a pocket full of keys. They differ in weight, in how they feel in the hand and in how they age.
6061 aluminum, anodized for a hard, even color. Light and simple. Keys and coins will mark it over time.
Grade 5 titanium (Ti-6Al-4V). Stronger and more scratch resistant than aluminum, for a few grams more.
Layered carbon fiber in a 3K twill weave, or forged carbon with a marbled pattern. The lightest plates in the lineup.

How it works
No slots, no snaps, no break-in period. You load it once and use it with one hand.
Slide 1 to 12 cards between the plates. The elastic frame stretches to fit, no break in.
Put your thumb in the notch and push. The cards fan out and you pick the one you need.
Fold your bills and tuck them under the strap on the back. That's it.
86 x 54 x 6 mm empty. Barely bigger than the cards inside it.
One card or twelve, the elastic holds them tight. About 8 if they're embossed.
About 60 g in aluminum. The carbon fiber ones weigh about 1.6 oz.
Every product comes with a 2 year limited warranty against defects.

Compared
A leather bifold does plenty of things well. Here is where the two differ, including the row where ours loses.
| ANODE metal wallet | Leather bifold | |
|---|---|---|
| Thickness | 6 mm empty, about the size of a credit card | Thicker once folded, and it grows with every receipt |
| Capacity | 1 to 12 cards, about 8 if embossed | As many cards and receipts as you let it swallow |
| Finding a card | Push the notch and the cards fan out | Dig through the slots one by one |
| Cash | Folded bills under the strap on the back | Flat bills in a full length sleeve |
| Contactless cards | Metal plates help block RFID and NFC reads | No shielding, unless it has a special lining |
| The catch | No coin pocket, and the metal picks up marks over time | It wears in nicely, but it stretches and fattens |
Accessories
Keys, cash, a tracker. Three small things that go with the wallet, each in one finish.
Everyday
Barely bigger than the cards inside, so it lives in a front pocket and stays out of the way.

From 1 to 12 standard cards. The elastic frame stretches as you add them and holds a single card just as well.
Cards with raised numbers take more room. Count on about 8 of those, or mix them with flat cards.
The plates help block contactless RFID and NFC reads of the cards between them. It's a useful extra layer, not a promise of full protection.
Fold your bills and slide them under the elastic strap on the back. Prefer a clip? The ANODE Money Clip screws onto the back plate in place of the strap.
Aluminum is the everyday one, about 2.1 oz. Titanium weighs about 2.4 oz and handles scratches better. Carbon fiber is the lightest at about 1.6 oz. Same size, same frame, same capacity.
Yes, eventually. Keys and coins mark anodized aluminum over time. Titanium resists scratches better, and the stonewashed finish hides new ones. Normal wear on the finish is not a defect.
